St. Louis, MO—Siboney Corporation (OTC BB: SBON—news) announced that Siboney Learning Group, its wholly owned subsidiary, has completed the purchase of the publishing assets of Teacher Support Software, effective July 1, 2000.
Teacher Support Software’s award-winning language arts software for schools will be folded into Siboney Learning Group’s portfolio of products and will be sold through the company’s network of dealers and sales representatives. Siboney Learning Group will retain the Teacher Support Software name and employ selected personnel.
Siboney Learning Group is a fast-growing and profitable publisher of educational software for schools that helps students master key skills and concepts stressed in textbooks and on standardized tests. The Company’s GAMCO product line provides highly motivating and managed single titles and series sold through school software dealers and a direct sales team.
The Company’s Orchard: Teacher Choice Software product line offers schools a comprehensive curriculum-based solution with universal management and assessment which is sold through a network of territorial dealers and representatives.
Teacher Support Software’s software product line adds strong programs in vocabulary development and elementary writing plus several popular tools for teachers that help teachers use technology effectively in their classrooms. Teacher Support Software programs will be sold as stand-alone products and as part of Orchard.
